Why I Love Performing Holiday Magic Shows in Virginia

The holiday season has always been one of my absolute favorite times of the year to perform. There’s something special about December — the decorations, the energy, the sense of togetherness — that makes magic feel even more… well, magical. Whether I’m performing at a resort, a cozy family gathering, or a large corporate party, bringing my show to holiday events truly brings everything full circle.

Holiday Magic in Richmond, VA

Richmond has a charm all its own during the holidays. From beautifully lit venues to festive corporate celebrations, the city creates the perfect backdrop for magic. I love performing close-up magic during cocktail hours and bringing out the larger illusions when companies want to make their holiday party unforgettable. Every year I meet new families, new businesses, and new fans — and Richmond has become one of the places I look forward to returning to the most.

Charlottesville Christmas & Holiday Events

Charlottesville is a place where tradition and celebration blend together seamlessly. I’ve performed at vineyards, resorts, and private homes throughout the area, and the reactions are always amazing. Watching families — sometimes three generations together — share laughter and wonder during the busiest time of year is something I never get tired of. The holiday season is all about connection, and magic helps spark those moments instantly.

Northern Virginia Holiday Parties & Corporate Events

Northern Virginia is always buzzing with activity, especially in December. I love being part of that excitement. Corporate holiday parties, end-of-year celebrations, and family-friendly events are all perfect settings for my mix of close-up magic, stage illusions, and family-friendly entertainment. NOVA audiences bring incredible energy, and I try to match it every time I step on stage.

Why Holiday Shows Mean So Much to Me

The truth is, holiday magic events remind me why I started doing this in the first place. People are already in great spirits, families come together, coworkers celebrate their accomplishments, and kids are filled with anticipation. Magic enhances all of that.

Whether I’m making doves appear for a room full of kids, performing illusions for a company reward party, or moving from table to table at a resort doing close-up magic, I feel honored to be a part of moments people will remember long after the holidays are over.

Wes Iseli's Magiclife Podcast S3E47 (Dan Harlan)

My Vit Hit commercial with bloopers

This video is from 9 years ago. I worked with Pepsi and Vit Hit for 5 years promoting Vit Hit. This is a magic trick I came up with and I think it turned out ok but I could do much better nowadays. In magic videos the fails are always left on the cutting room floor but I think they make this video even better. Enjoy!!!

Why Hiring a Wedding Magician Makes Your Wedding Unforgettable

When couples plan their wedding, they spend countless hours choosing the perfect venue, photographer, DJ, food, and dΓ©cor. But one detail that can take your celebration from “beautiful” to unforgettable is the entertainment — and more specifically, hiring a professional wedding magician.

I’m Wes Iseli, a full-time magician and illusionist who performs at weddings across the entire East Coast — and beyond for couples who want world-class entertainment on their big day. For nearly 30 years, I’ve been helping brides, grooms, and their guests experience moments of wonder during the most important day of their lives.

Here’s how magic elevates your wedding day and why so many couples hire me for their celebration.

Close-Up Magic for Your Wedding Welcome Party

Many East Coast weddings begin with a welcome party to bring everyone together the night before. This is one of the best places for close-up wedding magic.

Guests who have never met immediately loosen up, laugh, and connect through shared amazement. Magic is the ultimate icebreaker, making guests feel comfortable and energized for the weekend ahead.

A Stand-Up Magic Show During Dinner (So the Bride & Groom Can Actually Eat!)

If you’ve ever attended a wedding — or been in one — you know the bride and groom rarely get to sit down and eat. They’re constantly being approached for congratulations, photos, and conversations.

Couples hire me to perform a stand-up magic show during dinner specifically to give the newlyweds a chance to enjoy their first meal together without interruption.

Guests are entertained.
The couple gets a peaceful moment.
The evening flows beautifully.

Close-Up Magic During Wedding Photos — The #1 Most Requested Service

After the ceremony, the couple usually disappears for 45–90 minutes of photos. This creates a long, awkward gap where guests are left waiting — especially if they don't know many people.

This is where close-up reception magic shines.

I move from group to group, visit tables, and perform professional magic that keeps energy high and creates connections. Guests start talking, laughing, and bonding — all while the couple is finishing their photos without feeling rushed.

This is the most popular wedding service I offer because it instantly transforms downtime into unforgettable entertainment.

Why a Wedding Magician Makes Your Day Truly Magical

Every wedding is beautiful — but magic adds something unique:

  • It’s interactive

  • It’s personal

  • It’s memorable

  • It’s perfect for guests of all ages

  • It fills awkward time gaps seamlessly

  • It creates natural conversation

  • It adds excitement to the entire celebration

A wedding is already magical…
Hiring a magician simply puts the icing on the cake.

Available Across the East Coast — and Nationwide

Although most of my performances are in states like:

  • Virginia

  • Maryland

  • Washington DC

  • Pennsylvania

  • North Carolina

  • New Jersey

  • New York

  • Delaware

  • South Carolina

  • Florida

…I am available to travel anywhere in the country for couples who want a top-tier magician to elevate their big day.

If it’s important to you, I’ll be there.

Throwback: My Amazing Run with Pepsi-Cola Bottling & Vit Hit (2015–2020)

From 2015 to 2020, I had the honor of working with one of the most recognized names in the beverage world—Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company—as a sponsored performer promoting their health-forward drink, Vit Hit.

Vit Hit was a perfect match for the kind of magic I bring to the stage: energetic, fresh, and packed with surprises. It’s a health beverage made with water, tea, juice, and a hit of vitamins—an ideal product to promote at high-energy events and live shows. And that’s exactly what I did!

I was hired to perform and represent Vit Hit at a wide range of events:
πŸŽ‰ Grand openings
🎑 County fairs
🐎 Horse races
🏒 Trade shows
…and many more.

We didn’t just hand out flyers—we made Vit Hit part of the magic. I used the product in my show, gave away samples to delighted audiences, and helped people experience the brand in a truly memorable way. Whether I was making bottles appear out of thin air or integrating their sleek packaging into illusions, the focus was always on energy, fun, and health.

Pepsi-Cola Bowling took things to the next level by customizing my vehicle fleet. They updated the vinyl lettering on my van, and trailer, proudly displaying:
“Proudly Sponsored by Vit Hit.”
That kind of support isn’t just rare—it’s unforgettable.

And to top it all off, it was a very lucrative contract—one of the best sponsorship deals I’ve had in my career. It allowed me to do what I love while representing a product I genuinely believed in, all while reaching new audiences in exciting venues.

The partnership was a dream. The Pepsi team was amazing to work with, always professional, enthusiastic, and supportive of what I brought to the table. Sadly, like so many good things, it came to a pause during the pandemic. When Covid hit, all live events were canceled, and performance restrictions meant I couldn’t appear in the places we normally showcased Vit Hit.

By the time restrictions lifted, my original contact at Pepsi had retired. The new team, understandably focused on managing daily operations post-Covid, simply didn’t have the resources to continue the type of hands-on sponsorship we had built together. There were no hard feelings—just gratitude for an incredible run.

Working with Pepsi-Cola Bottling and promoting Vit Hit was a highlight of my career. It was more than a sponsorship—it was a collaboration that brought health, energy, and magic to thousands.

Thank you to the Pepsi-Cola Bowling Company and Vit Hit for believing in what I do and giving me the platform to share it.
