Welcome to A Magician's Life — a behind-the-scenes look at the adventures of professional magician and illusionist Wes Iseli and his family!
Have you ever wondered what life is really like for a full-time professional magician?
From performing hundreds of magic shows every year to traveling across the country, meeting interesting people, raising a family, and experiencing the unexpected adventures of show business, there's never a dull moment!
That's what A Magician's Life is all about.
Meet Wes Iseli
My name is Wes Iseli, and I've been making my living as a full-time professional magician and illusionist since 1996.
Over the years, I've performed thousands of shows for audiences of all ages, including corporate events, resorts, theaters, schools, festivals, and private celebrations.
Some of my career highlights include:
Appearing on Penn & Teller: Fool Us and successfully fooling Penn and Teller.
Working as a magic consultant and animal trainer for television's The Carbonaro Effect.
Performing large-scale illusions, escapes, and interactive magic shows.
Producing and hosting my television series, Wes Iseli's MagicLife.
Interviewing fascinating guests on Wes Iseli's MagicLife Podcast.
But performing magic is only part of the story!
Life Behind the Curtain
My wife Natalie and I travel extensively with our children, sharing adventures both onstage and off.
Through this blog, you'll discover what happens when the curtains close and the real adventures begin.
We share stories about traveling, homeschooling our children, visiting interesting places, running our businesses, caring for our animals, and navigating the challenges and rewards of family life.
Some days we're performing multiple shows. Other days we're exploring historical locations, working on projects around the house, or simply enjoying time together.
More Than Just Magic
Although magic is a huge part of our lives, this blog is about much more than tricks and illusions.
It's about family, travel, entertainment, unexpected challenges, memorable experiences, and the everyday adventures that make life interesting.
My goal is to share authentic stories and experiences that entertain, inform, and occasionally inspire readers.
